Phew, what a whopper of a video this was. Was a bit nervous about this one since I felt like it was my first REALLY big game to review, and god knows I had so much footage to use and go through here. Luckily, I didn't have to use all of it x)

Yakuza 0 has been so much fun to play, I think I can say it's one of my favourites. It's such an absurdly contradictory experience but it somehow all works. From it's serious, crime drama-type narrative to it's ridiculous side activities, Yakuza 0 is a game that really should not work. Except it does, and it works wonderfully well.

I was hooked right from the start up until the end. Its story is intensely captivating with its great storytelling, beautiful cutscenes and voice acting, and twists that'll have you gasping in awe and shock. The side activities it offers are just an absolute blast to play (except one or two), from the plain fun mini games to the whacky yet oddly wholesome substories with random NPCs.

The cities in which the game takes place both feel alive and real and make for a great, immersive experience with its streets flooded with flashing neon lights, crowds of people going about their business, the sounds of car passing by on the highway and the sounds of the shops, bars, restaurants.

Yakuza 0 does not come without its issues, but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. It's a superb, ridiculously fun game that I highly recommend. I believe this is also a good entry point for the Yakuza franchise.
