As the release of Yakuza Kiwami 2 quickly approaches, we sit down and interview Yakuza localization producer Scott Strichart. In this first part of a two part series, we discuss Scott’s career in localization, the games he’s helped localize, as well as the events leading up to his involvement with Yakuza’s past, present, and future. We’ll also talk about some of his favorite localization moments with Yakuza and talk about why Japanese games often don’t allow for native streaming and video recording on the PS4. Also, don’t forget to check in on the video once in a while… we’ve added some footage of the games he’s worked on as well as some visual aid on what’s being talked about!
