YANKEE YARNS.....
Was a radio show featuring fascinating stories of New England as told by storyteller Alton H. Blackington from 1943 until 1951. The popularity of the show would eventually spawn two books in the 1950s, Yankee Yarns and More Yankee Yarns. Alton Blackington's "yarns", always told in a fascinating way, included stories of ghosts, ships, shipwrecks, comic escapades, and famous New Englanders.
