This is a fun, albeit frustrating(fucking air supply!), game. I had a demo of this(along with Dark Wolf, Jetpack, Trolls, and other arcade-esque games) on a CD way back in the day called Atomic Arcade. You control a guy in a yellow submarine(who looks nothing like any of the Beatles) who is attempting to hunt down an evil mad scientist(why are all the mad scientists evil?) named(duh) Dr. Riptide. You go through the game, collecting powerups to increase you life, air, or firepower as well as various objects for bonus points. At time, you are required to switch to a remote controlled sub named JASON to solve puzzles(meaning that if you don't have it or lose it at certain points and can't get another, you're screwed). Through out the levels you can also find pieces of a weapon called the Pulse Cannon, similar to how you can find your class' final weapon in Hexen. Unfortunately, the password system used by the game doesn't take into account score or parts gathered, only what level it takes you to, so if you actually want to use the thing, you have to get it in one sitting. Then, if you finally manage to get it, I believe that you only get three or so shots with it before it breaks, forcing you to attack creatures with the less powerful JASON sub. Still, despite the games problems(password system, rather limited mega weapon, air seems to deplete too fast(specially if you're an explorer), coming to a dead stop on contact with surfaces), it's really fun. I recommend giving it a try if you can find it.
