Year of Ren'py - Part 2 - Adding Characters and Art
Premiere Note: This video is only 20:31 long. Just so you know.
This video is part of my series for while I am gone away for the next year. There will be a new Ren'py video that will come out each month. At least one a month, while I am away. Watch for them on the second last Wednesday of the month. I will put in the description what is coming next so you know what you want to get ready if you wish to follow along and casually learn Ren'py over this year.
Current video: Adding Characters and Art
Use this video to learn how to place your characters and backgrounds into your story. This may take a bit. I suggest starting simple. If you have open and closed mouths kind of thing hold back on it until you get the basic stuff in. I also have a more complex video to teach you how to add more specific locations of characters but unless you really need it or are a bit more advanced with this, your first scene will be better just keeping things simple.
Next video: Making Basic Choices
If you are following along you can start planning where you will have your player have a choice. Maybe one or two within your scene. Up to you guys. This next video will be just about making a choice. Then a month later we will take about how to make a choice matter for later game play.
