This is a discussion vid on the Yeezy Boost 350 Pirate Black sneakers set to re-release, refresh, restock, or retro, what ever you want to call it. Its an interesting move by adidas, and I wanted to talk about it.
If this is a restock, does that mean they had 2/3rds of the original stock that they were just holding in a warehouse? Is adidas just trying to control the hype reseller market? Is this a rerelease? Meaning they made new stock of the PB 350, with different release dates? If that is the case, then is no yeezy safe from rereleasing at any time? Adidas is notorious for doing this to sneakers (example all white ultra boost restocked over 15 times, and resale went from over $450 to $200).
Creating more supply to meet demand is a good thing, but as you can see with Jordan Brand, its not all that it's cracked up to be. Prices are lower than market on the majority of retros that hit the market right now.
So what are your thoughts?
