What Is The Most Expensive Sneaker You Have Bought? Why?

So what is the most expensive pair of sneakers that you have paid for or that you would pay for and why? Most of the time I try to get sneakers at retail, and if I strike out, then I sometimes have to go on the aftermarket to buy sneakers. I am always afraid of buying sneakers that are replicas though and getting stung, similar to what happened to me with the Ray Allen 13s. I don't want to risk a lot of money buying a pair of sneakers that end up being fake. So the most expensive pair that I have paid for were $800 most recently, and before that I have paid $450 for a total of 4 different shoes that I remember, DB8s, DB13s, Supreme Dunk Lows, and Boxtroll Roshes. I had my own reasons for wanting these sneakers enough to pay resale. I support Doernbecher Children's Hospital, and I eventually want the entire Jordan collection. Boxtroll Roshes were designed by Tinker Hatfield, and the charity went to an organization for adopted kids. The Supreme dunks though? I just really wanted the Elephant print dunk lows, all hype aside I liked the look of them and the Dunk is one of my favorite models.
