Ylands is a cheerful sandbox game that will captivate you by its beautiful polygon graphics. Using terrain voxels and building blocks, you can create a completely modifiable island and then place it anywhere in the World. You have full control over your game experience: choose to play alone or with friends; try to live a life on your yland with only a handful of survival items or choose to have them all - it's up to you.

Decide where you want to live. Choose from five significantly different locations, including polar desert areas, arid regions, tropical rain-forests, taigas and tundras or temperate climate areas. Make your choice wisely, though: each of these areas have their own specific climatic conditions, natural resources, and wildlife.

Do whatever you want with the terrain. Create a mountain as high as the sky, make it into a cube or reach the deepest corners of your yland by removing the terrain under your feet. Just choose the "Creative" game type or equip the "Terraformer" and you're good to go. Like the nice little hut you've built on your yland, but think it would look even nicer somewhere else? What is that greenish glow, you ask? It's the Ylandium! Everything out of the ordinary is powered by this rare element. Since it was found two centuries ago, strange things have been happening on our ylands. The Ylandium is the reason why we can fly and create tools as powerful as the "Annihilator". And hear this: there have been rumors of people who became invincible...

The wildlife differs from one location to another. While in some places there won't be anything but peaceful goats, elsewhere, you can easily find yourself surrounded by ferocious wolfs. You have an arsenal of weapons to face them, from iron axes to stick bows, but when it gets down to it, you can fight with your bare hands. You might even be so courageous to fight the wild ones eye to eye, using the 1st person view.
Sometimes it's rough, but simple: eat, or be eaten!

Living alone on an yland can be quite the challenge, so why don't you invite some of your friends over to help you? There is a very thin line between single and multiplayer modes, and you can switch between them at any time. The same goes for online and offline modes - you have complete control over your game style preferences.

No matter what you dream of (maybe living on a tropical island in a hut made of bamboo, or having a small hunting cabin on a deserted place in the middle of the woods?) Ylands is the place to live your little dream. With a number of building blocks to choose from, it's only up to your imagination to create whatever it is that you want: an impenetrable stone castle, an igloo, a Greek mausoleum or all of them!

Do you want to design and create your personal world inside the world of Ylands? This is possible to do with the Scenario Editor! Starting with nothing, build the terrain from scratch and let your imagination run wild until you create a place of your own where you can make anything happen – torches that magically light up, talking chests, or teleports.
To get you started, hop in one of the premade scenarios we created, such as the Wild West shootout or the Medieval Castle Siege, and tweak them as you please, and later you might even come up with a completely different game genre.
