Yoshimitsu is a ninja and the leader of the Manji Clan, a group that steals from people who profit from dishonest activities so that they can redistribute this wealth to the poor.He wields a possessed sword, the Cursed Blade Yoshimitsu, a demon-slaying weapon that thirsts for blood and drives its wielder to sate its hunger; Yoshimitsu does this by cutting down wicked people. He entered the first King of Iron Fist Tournament to act as a decoy while his subordinates stole the eventโs operating funds.
Yoshimitsu began to grow concerned about the Manji Clanโs capacity to help the many disadvantaged people they served, and entered the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, envisioning a union between the Manji Clan and Mishima Zaibatsu wherein the latterโs wealth could be used to do far greater good During the tournament, Yoshimitsu rescued Ling Xiaoyu and explained the Mishima familyโs history to her.Though the union between the Manji Clan and Mishima Zaibatsu did not come to be, Yoshimitsu succeeded in breaking into the Zaibatsuโs vaults and stealing money from them.
