Welcome back to Yoshi’s Island! In this episode, we dive into World 5-6 and beyond, tackling some of the toughest and most frustrating stages in the game.

We begin with 5-6, an auto-scroller packed with hazards, Shy Guys, Piranha Plants, Lakitus, red coins, stars, and flowers. This level pushes patience to the limit, with tricky platforming, missed collectibles, and relentless enemies. Despite the frustration, we manage to grab key collectibles and even score a bonus game.

From there, we move on to “Shifting Platforms Ahead.” Unlike the auto-scroller, this stage introduces moving platforms, penguins, Ravens, and more red coins. It’s a shorter level, but brutal in its own way with constant risks of instant death and missing checkpoints. We replay sections, grind items, and finally secure the missing flower and stars to complete the run.

These two stages showcase just how challenging World 5 can be
