You Can't Do THAT in D&D! - #1 (An AMAZING moment from our Pathfinder 2e adventure)
421This snippet from our recent Pathfinder 2e session shows one thing that the system does that I think makes it great!
The barbarian player afterward: "Lord i love that time lol I had a more fun time being a barbarian in that session than the whole time i was a barbarian in my very first dnd campaign... Barbarians in D&D 5E and PF2E almost plays in the exact same idea/concept: Rage, and charge at your enemies. However, ever since I learned that skills also have a use in combat as well, suddenly my choices becomes even more varied rather than my typical Barbarian in a D&D game. I can maneuver around the battlefield, jump to higher ground, demoralize or feint my enemies and all of them are viable actions and not an action wasted. You can never do that in D&D 5E since the best course of action is always to attack and that leaves me bored after a few sessions, to a point that I changed characters just so I can be engaged with the system. Even then, the amount of useful actions you can do other than attacking regardless of class is amazing. It feels like I'm actually in my own character doing those moves and maneuvers rather than a puppet master. "
