Lorelai is out!

Wow. What a Chapter 1. We've played all of the other games in the Devil Came Through Here universe and this one hits the old heartstrings pretty hard. Definitely recommend it, but it's not for the faint of heart.

This indie game has one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a long time!

Lorelai, a new indie game, came out two days ago - You die trying to save your family from abuse, then the game starts in earnest. It's the third in the Harvester Games' trilogy Devil Came Through Here.

If you haven't tried them yet, and you love edgy, thoughtful, intense adventure games about challenging topics give them a go.

The games are The Cat Lady, followed by Downfall (which the creator remade to be a more robust game and sequel) and now finally the third and reportedly final third part, Lorelai.

All of the games have this deep horrifying otherworldly power making you confront your character's nature along with the horrors of man. They're touching and interesting while being really hopeful and sometimes horrifying at the same time.

The creator, Rem Michalski, who heads his solo studio Harvester Games, draws off of his own experience as a nurse in London for a lot of the heavier stuff.

These games discuss and deal with intense topics such as depression, suicide, body image issues, eating disorders, abuse of all types, relationship issues, and more. If you have difficulty with any of that kind of content definitely educate yourself on the game before jumping in, it can get pretty heavy.

I highly recommend them all.
