YouTube is making a big play by unlocking the community tab for all creators including new channels. This means that the earliest you can get the community tab is within 2 months provided that you upload to your channel. I will go over why this is a big deal as a content creator and the platform wars.

NOTE: To enable the community tab once you have channel history:
1) Go to your YouTube Studio
2) Click on Settings on the menu bar to the left
3) Click on the Channel tab on the left menu
4) Click on Feature Eligibility tab
5) Click on the "Advanced Features" drop down accordion menu
6) Choose 1 of those methods (Channel history is required)
6A) Video Verification: Asks you to verify using a video on your phone camera or app. Do the provided directions
OR
6B) ID Verification: Provide a drivers license or government ID like a passport uploaded to them
PLUS
6C) Channel History: Upload content as much as you can so that YouTube can do some history for the channel. They want to make sure the channel is as active as possible. The ideal is 2 months minimum.
7) Community tab will be enabled for you within 2 months if you just started your channel, or within the next few days if your channel has been established for more than 2 months. This is in roll out mode. Be patient.
NOTE: The Monetization features do not change in terms of when they are unlocked. You still need 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time (OR) 10 million YT Shorts views. Merch shelf will now unlock at 500 subs according to a recent update.
COMMUNITY TAB FEATURES
1) Image: Add an 1000X1000 (PX) image to preview videos, or just have the community enjoy dogs. Have fun
2) Image Poll: Add images to polls for your audience to vote on
3) Text Poll: Ask your audience to vote on something
4) Video Post: Post your latest video to enjoy from your channel or a channel you play with.
