It was recently disclosed via Twitter that YouTube has been testing a new predictive algorithm in order to control what videos show up in your subscription feed as opposed to newest first. There are many ways in which this is a terrible thing and I discuss a few of them here. We also talk about a couple of ways in which YouTube could do better.
