Just like it says, the opening track from the Famicom version of Ys, which was released in Japan in 1988. It did not have a western release. Although the SMS version did. An English fan translation of the Famicom version is available though.

The Famicom version was developed by Advance Communication Company and published by Victor Interactive Software.

Advance Communication Company also developed the NES versions of Ys 2 and 3. And they are also responsible for the infamously bad Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. If you're familiar with AVGN I'm sure you know all about it. I remember renting it and wishing I hadn't.

This version is a bit different from the SMS version. I've seen it get some flack and it's by no means perfect. I prefer the SMS version to this one myself. But like other early Ys games this one also utilizes the "bump" system. Meaning you must bump into an enemy to inflict damage. It's best to try to approach from the back or off center. You'll do more damage and take less.
