I did put this boss in this order because even if it is optional, the level it has is 95, so it makes sense to do it before the final fight. Anyway, this "superboss" is hard, but for the wrong reasons. There are two things in this fight that are cheap, the first one is that he is going to constantly summon enemies, and because of the camera, you are going to have a hard time getting their position, and they may hit you. This add some kind of randomness to this fight, and that sucks. The second one is his poison cloud attack, it happens very fast, and if you react to it by Flash Guarding or Moving, the cloud disperses in a weird pattern and the chances to get hit are very high. Knowing that, the best defense against this awful attack is Shadow Diving, but the attack goes so fast, that if you jumped before he started doing it or if you evaded (for example, one of the many enemies that he summons), you won't have enough time for the Shadow Dive to complete. As such, you have to be very defensive in this fight. Everything else that he does is easy to defend against, except in his third fase, where he has two new attacks, a combo move where he does three hits, it can be Flash Guarded, but the hitbox of the last attack is weird, so I recommend Shadow Dive for safety. The other is a bite that will eat the character and spit it after some time with a lot of status effects, I also recommend Shadow Dive for this, because the hitbox is also weird. Anyway, I feel that for a secret superboss this is a little lame, both in design and the fight itself. I mean, compared with Mephorash from Ys VIII, this is a serious downgrade as a side challenge. Still, it isn't that bad, it's just the cheapness of the fight that makes it less interesting.
Poor Hawk died because I forgot that I had his last skill in that position, which is an awful skill, forcing you to stand there, lol.
