The INTENDED quality is the large player + 720p HD. The large player is essentially a minimum to bring the quality up to something more tolerable.

I've been playing this on and off in short bursts for a few months now and finally beat Yunica's story earlier today. Such a great and surprisingly fulfilling game (considering the confined nature of the environment), and with lots of replay value left. But that's beside the point... (oh wait, this game is also coming to Steam in the future, so look out for it!)

I mentioned in my announcement video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9JSVJ9CYDU ) that I'm on the fence about doing a Ys Seven run due to lack of unlimited upload time. I was asked on a past run (Felghana I believe) if I was going to be doing Origin, and as of now it's still up in the air but becoming more likely. I thought my laptop couldn't handle recording the game, but with a few adjustments if actually turns out pretty nicely after the few hiccups in the first few recordings (beginning of Kishgal fight). Sure it's only 30fps instead of the glorious 60, but in HD and with the large player the quality holds up fairly well.

At the moment I'm 60/40 split between doing a run and not doing one. If I do do one, it will probably end up only being the game's last story since I wouldn't want to get tied down with a lot of recording and what not, not to mention the bit of redundancy in doing separate playthroughs. And since I still need to unlock the last story, it will be a little time before any run gets uploaded.

So anyway tell me what ya think about this quality/doing a run of Origin. There's a widescreen patch out there I may look into. Also this is a good time to mention Mask of the Sun.... eh I stopped playing it months upon months ago, but since I was roughly a third the way through it when I stopped I should just wrap it up. Granted that game is immensely dull and wonky when Origin is available to play on the same computer... but if I do that I would feel more obligated to record Ys Seven as well *tableflip*
