For lack of better words, this boss is the TLB for this game. You need a high reputation to trigger this, and doing all the sidequests should raise your reputation enough to meet the requirements. I also like to jokingly think that one of the attacks this fight throws at you is the equivalent to a washing machine. It won't throw bullets, but its kind of amusing to see monsters spin around it even if it's still painful since they can still attack you.

Last planned boss fight for this run. Phase 1 and 2 are on different takes. On phase 1, my setup is pretty much unchanged from what I used for Theos. It was getting late for me when I got the first phase done so I decided to keep attempts separate. Phase 1 also gets pretty chaotic so I'm happy enough that I got through this part without items for this attempt.

For phase 2, I had to pray to the mighty Mishy to give me salvation. I offered him all the food that the party cooked up and he graced me with the almighty Earth Orb to get pass the wall before me. In all seriousness, I really needed the Earth Orb here since the roar for this boss can paralyze me. I've lost a lot of attempts due to being paralyzed and I don't know if there is a good way to reliably escape roars outside of ex skill invincibility. This being Inferno, there aren't a lot of pauses between boss attacks so I'm pretty much dead once I got paralyzed unless I get really lucky (and I don't trust my luck). I did eat some food before the first phase ended on this series of attempts just so the fight doesn't take forever. This boss is capable of taking party members out of battle, but that detail is irrelevant for this run.

I guess I'll leave my closing thoughts for this run here. Had the silly idea of only relying on Adol for the bosses since I was pretty curious how the game would play out when he is the only one actively doing damage. It was also a chance to see how much things changed with the new update and things felt pretty stable compared to what it was before this year (maybe a crash when I tab out, but I've had that happen with other games. Still better than having a weird tint appear when I was on the menu for doing raids). Couldn't really do much about my party being there since I need to be in new game plus to have the option to solo and this run was done on a fresh save file. Probably the hardest part of this run was everything before Gendarme. Didn't have a lot of tools to work with until I crossed that mountain. Had a lot of fun with this run even when it gave me some troubles. There is the post-game dungeon, but maybe I'll come back to that later if I return to this game. I'm feeling pretty drained after overcoming the true ending's final boss.
