Ys X Nordics Boss 39: Despiero Lagunhild
0Time to finish off what remains of the Griegers and it's glorious
Difficulty: 8/10
The hardest part is the ship battle because the Lagunhild has a giant f**k you laser that will wipe you from existence if it hits as well as flaming and spiked cannon balls to keep you moving and the ability to spam electrical mines creating area denial. To say nothing of the four surprisingly tanky Sloops backing him up. It's hard but it's the last ship battle of the game and it's a lot of fun.
Phase 2 is a fair bit easier just a basic enemy rush as Despiero throws every remaining grieger at you.
Phase 3 his escape fails so now you fight him one on one... or two on one I suppose and it's mostly meant to be a cathartic beatdown but his attacks are very quick and hit like a truck about to isekai your ass... especially when his blade becomes surrounded in black flames because that attack has death build up and if you get inflicted with death... you know what happens. Sure the surviving member can revive you but when Despiero attacks so quickly he's not gonna make it easy.
STORY STUFF:
The griegers are destroyed and Karnak is safe. All that's left is to go to the final dungeon and save Karja from dying... oh and there's one other boss remaining but... I want to be as ready as I can be for that fight.
