Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories, known in Japan as Yu-Gi-Oh! True Duel Monsters: Sealed Memories is a video game based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and anime series.
The game takes place in Ancient Egypt. The players play the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game alongside characters that appear in the series.
This game plays differently than the TCG, because it uses the prototype rules that were originally being considered when the card game was first being transferred over from the manga. Many rules such as Tribute Summons, Effect Monsters and the need for "Polymerization" to perform Fusion Summons are eliminated. Also Ritual Spell cards demand specific tributes.
Also, unlike the other games, after a Equip Spell card be equipped to an monster, the equip card doesn't stand Face-up on the field. The card disappear and the monster gains always 500 ATK, except on the case of the card "Megamorph that the monster gains 1000 ATK instead. You can equip monsters in your hand too.
