The Gameplay follows the one from the first game. A new feature is that now certain ace monsters will get an animation regardless of who summons is, so a player can summon Flame Wingman and get the same animation that Jaden would get if he were to summon the monster.
Story
This was an area where the original Tag Force seemed to fall short, but where Tag Force 2 excelled. Each of your partners has a unique story, and the path to victory is nearly identical to the previous game. You advance your partner's story by increasing their affection; for every heart you gain, you unlock an event for your partner, which advances their story to the next event. Page 2 and 3 side characters have their own stories, but they are all the same, so you only need to team up with one of them once to see the same story for all of them.
