821Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 244 cuts away from the Yuta and Kenjaku subplot to dive into the situation with Yuji, Higuruma, and Sukuna on the shared battlefield.
The majority of this chapter unveils a flashback featuring a strategic conversation between Kusakabe and Higuruma. Which involves the intricacies of Higuruma's cursed technique, and optimizing team assignments in case Gojo is defeated. Higuruma predicts that there exists a 30% probability of Judgeman selecting a crime for Sukuna, leading to the severe consequence of having his curse technique eradicated. Despite the low odds, Higuruma remains resolute in his pursuit, motivated by acquiring the executioner's blade which can one shot anyone it touches.
We then switch to the confrontation between Sukuna and Yuji. As Sukuna attempts to strike Yuji with an attack, Yuji evades and counters by punching Sukuna numerous times which displays weird vibrational effects, confusing Sukuna. Then, Higuruma activates his domain expansion, placing Sukuna in a courtroom setting. Judgeman states the charges, declaring Yuji on trial for the Shibuya massacre, with Sukuna as his co-defendant, starting a trial.
