Player match with some very skilled japanese players. This is my favorite character in VO4, the spear wielding Kagekiyo 'Forest'. It's unpopular but has the highest mobility(movement & recovery speed) of all Kagekiyo variants.

The spear/halberd Kagekiyo have the longest reaching melee weapon in the game and a good moveset to go with it, allowing offense and zoning with melee attacks. The right weapon projectile is great at close/medium range and has almost no recovery which goes well with the high mobility of the VR. The cost of all those advantages is low damage per hit, meaning you need to keep on the offense to deal significant damage.

Judging from videos before the port of the game was released I thought the new melee system looked like one of the most fun parts of the game, so I concentrated on the Kagekiyo VRs from the get-go. Don't regret it at all, I still enjoy them the most.
