Zanac AI gameplay, famicom disk system
My favourite shooter on the NES / famicom so far (i have some left to try out). It entirely depends on gameplay and not on memorizing enemies or learning weird powerups.
I once made it quite far but in the FDS version you can't cheat your way to the last levels so you need to beat the last 2-3 levels without a game over and that is tough. In the FDS, remember to press Select+Start at the start screen if you want to continue on the stage you died at.
The numbers are different secondary power upgrades. The "AI" part of the game is because the more you shoot, the more enemies they will throw at you! I think that the more enemies the more fun and you also get more extra points and lives so I suggest to fire away.
Played on twin famicom console.
