Previously, Link wrapped up the main quest "Captured Memories". Now, he will start working on the game's many side quests. He will start with "From the Ground Up". He accepted this quest from Hudson just before finishing up "Hylian Homeowner" in Hateno Village. At last report, Hudson was headed to Lake Akkala.

Before looking for Hudson, Link teleports to the Owa Daim Shrine on the Great Plateau (time 1:05). He glides down to the Old Man's hut in the southeast of the Great Plateau.

Link grabs a Woodcutter's Axe at the Old Man's hut (time 3:07). With it, he begins cutting down trees to acquire bundles of Wood. He will need a total of 110 bundles of Wood throughout the quest, so he collects it all now. In fact, he will also collect 10 extra bundles of Wood.

Link also clears out a monster camp in the valley northwest of the cabin (time 5:27). I wonder what is causing Silver Bokoblins to appear now. Could it be Link's progress in the game?

Link bombs through a boarded-over entrance to a small cave at the monster camp (time 7:12). There is a beehive within. If Link shoots it down and defeats the bees, he can acquire some Courser Bee Honey.

A chest in this cave contains 5 Bomb Arrows (time 7:56). Nice!

After defeating all the monsters, Link can open the camp chest (time 9:25). It contains a Throwing Spear.

Afterwards, Link continues collecting Wood. In the absence of an axe, he can use Remote Bombs to blast trees. The plus is that he does not have to worry about weapon wear.

At the small monster camp northeast of the Old Man's hut, Link photographs a Dragonbone Boko Shield for the Hyrule Compendium.

When Link has all the Wood he needs, he teleports to the Akkala Tower (time 29:52). It may be cold on the tower, so be ready to equip cold-resistant gear.

Link begins gliding southeast towards a shrine (time 30:58).

He reaches the Dah Hesho Shrine (time 32:00). He uses the pedestal to open the shrine and activate its travel gate.

Then, Link glides northeast to the circular island in Lake Akkala.

He reaches Tarrey Town (time 32:53). In the center of Tarrey Town is a convenient goddess statue. There is already one house here.

Link talks to Hudson in Tarrey Town (time 33:20). Hudson intends to build a town from scratch, but he will need help. He first asks for 10 bundles of Wood. This updates the objective for "From the Ground Up".

Link talks to Hudson again and hands over 10 Wood (time 34:42). Next, Hudson asks Link to find a Goron willing to help clear the boulders. Due to Bolson Construction's policy, the candidate's name must end in "son". This updates the objective for "From the Ground Up".

In the morning, and after changing into the Flamebreaker gear, Link teleports to the Shae Mo'sah Shrine near Goron City (time 36:42). He passes/glides through Goron City and follows the road south.

Outside Goron City, Link photographs an Igneo Pebblit for the Hyrule Compendium.

Link reaches the Southern Mine (time 39:57). He finds a Goron miner named Greyson. However, Greyson is busy during the day. He asks Link to speak to him at night. Link also finds a Goron youth named Pelison. However, Pelison is a bit ... little.

Link rests at the cookfire until night.

At night, he talks to Greyson (time 41:26). Tired of the drudgery at the Southern Mine, he readily heads to Tarrey Town with Pelison. This updates the objective for "From the Ground Up".

Link teleports to the Dah Hesho Shrine outside Tarrey Town (time 43:10). He glides into town.

Link reaches Tarrey Town again (time 44:21). There are now two houses in town.

Link checks on the new residents. Greyson is digging digging here. Pelison is running an ore shop named Ore and More. The wares include a Diamond for 2,000 rupees.

Link also checks out the houses in town. Nice, even if Link cannot sleep in them.

Link talks to Hudson (time 47:52). Happy with his newcomers, Hudson now requests 20 bundles of Wood. This updates the objective for "From the Ground Up".

Link talks to Hudson again (time 48:37). He hands in the 20 Wood bundles. Next, Hudson asks for a Gerudo with a gift for tailoring. Of course, the candidate's name must end in "son". This updates the objective for "From the Ground Up".

Link rests at Hudson's cookfire until morning.

Next time, he will continue "From the Ground Up", starting by looking for the Gerudo tailor.

Thanks for watching!
