Tamoor and Dave explore the Eventide Island to find the mysterious Korgu Chideh shrine in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This survival island strips you of all your food and gear, so Link must scavenge off the land!
how to survical eventide island
Strategy for Eventide Island:
1) Clear beach camp with a single bomb for some basic tools. Just grab everything, including at least 1 palm fruit
2) Trek around the northern edge, picking up the chest in the water with Cryolasis for 5 arrows, and as many Mighty Bananas as you can find. I believe there's 12 total, but you shouldn't need more than 4.
3) Clear the treehouse camp full of archers for more arrows and a decent bow
4) Cut across the island diagonally to the camp with the boulders and yellow chus. Clear with a few bombs and maybe arrows, but mostly save the arrows
5) Light the cooking pot fire and cook a meal to improve your strength with 4 mighty bananas and 1 palm fruit. Cook anything else you might want too, though you'll probably get one-shot by most things anyways since you have no armor.
6) Shoot at the right side of the orb on Hinox's necklace. This is a Dragonbone War Axe or something that he's ornamented it with. It should fall out, and he should wake up. Sprint in and grab it. Drink the damage boost food you made earlier at this point.
7) Fight Hinox with the dragonbone axe like it's Dark Souls. Bait the buttslam by running between his legs, space away from the shockwave, then sprint in for a few hits. Shouldn't take too long to beat. Shoot him in the eye if you've got the skill for it (I wasn't doing so hot and mostly just missed). You can also just chip him down with bombs if you're patiant. He also doesn't like fire, and gets caught up in it. You can bait him into the fire chus that infest the center of the island. Fire also creates updrafts which you can use to paraglide above him and do dropping attacks on the upper eye, if you're feeling stylish.
8) Climb the mountains nearby where Hinox was resting. Creep around the outside of the camp at the top until you find a chest containing a Knight's Sword, since your dragonbone axe is likely broken. You can also use this sword for Hinox if you want. I did on my successful run.
9) Clear the camp with the sword, be careful of the really tough bigger moblin, and the two archers. Just kite carefully. He seems to understand that bombs are dangerous and will walk around the blast radius, so you'll need to throw them at him to get reliable hits before he moves out of the way.
10) Don't forget to actually put all the orbs in the holes. After you do, you lose everything from the trial and regain all your old stuff exactly as it was. Shrine contains a well earned 300 rupees and a spirit orb, and you'll unlock the gliding minigame with the guy outside the shrine which is a safe way to earn rupees at a decent rate.
