Zelda in Game Maker
Using the engine I made in my 'How to make a simple Legend of Zelda engine - Game Maker' Tutorial (coming soon =[ ), I went ahead, and loosely added in some objects, which are placeholders for graphics. I have 6 empty slots at the moment, each 32x32 pixels, even though this isn't enough. \n\nIn terms of programming (but not memory), I could save a lot of time if I had a whole map in 1 object (eg, it could be over 1,000x1,000 pixels in size), and then set the collision data separately (even though i'm the person that likes to take a lot of time making tilesets).\n\nFor Link, I've broken down what i've accomplished for him below:\nBasic Movement Controls: 50% (excludes multiple directions)\nBasic Graphics: 33%\nCollision: 100%\n\nAnyways, this video is a preview for something that most likely will not be published as a game.\n\nI made this in Game Maker 8.1 (the FREE version), which you can download here:\nWindows: http://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker/windows\nMac: http://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker/mac
