Now I know what you are thinking. OOT in 3D on the GB. How could that be? Well sadly, this game never was. The Game Boy Advance came out in 2001 and has far less power than any computer device you use today.
I started to teach myself how in the world to program a game on this device and it has been a challenging experience. I had to use a lot of tricks to create a 3D programs on such a slow processor. I have seen people recreating Ocarina of Time with the Unreal Engine and that looks absolutely beautiful, but it is a real challenge to create it on the Game Boy Advanced with just 240x160 pixels to work with and you have to write your own highly optimized 3D engine.
So this is part 1 rendering 497 polygons in a 3D perspective with flat shading, rotation, and simple animation.
I hope to expand on this if anyone out there is interested to see more. Hope to see ya next time!
