Eox can be a right pain because his shockwave slam can be difficult for you to attack his weak spot. It's annoying but IF he uses his arrows you are a bit luckier because his position hardly moves making easier aiming for your hammer to deal damage.
I did get hit from one of the shockwave slam but IF I didn't and attacked sooner I might not deal a lot of damage to his weak spots.
Anyway his second form is interesting because he doesn't have a "HP" counter like Blaaz and Cylock. He has a "number of hits" counter like Cyrak and Joleane. He takes 15 hits on his weak spot to get defeated, if you stay on his head too long he shakes to knock you off, I prevent this and stay on him during the shake by damaging myself with one on my bombs, I cannot change items during mid-air so I can only select bombs when I am on Eox's head.
The rest went ok and I didn't need a heart container because the rest of the game didn't need any serious damage boosting.
