Zelda: Skyward Sword HD #004, Skyloft: Fi and the Goddess Sword

Previously, after borrowing the Practice Sword, Link went through the Waterfall Cave on Skyloft and rescued his Loftwing. After a brief tutorial, he won the race in the Wing Ceremony. Zelda rewarded him with the Sailcloth. Unfortunately, when Link and Zelda went out flying afterwards, a dark tornado struck. Link woke up some time later at the Knight Academy. That night, an enigmatic being started calling to Link. Now, he will continue following her.
Skyloft:
Link resumes out the upper exit from the Knight Academy. He follows the enigmatic being up towards the Statue of the Goddess, then down to ledges along the side of the island.
A scene shows that Remlits turn hostile at night. However, after a couple of sword blows, they cower for a while.
Along a lower path, past a large Green ChuChu, Link finds a chest with a Red Rupee, worth 20 Rupees, in the northeast.
The strange being continues leading Link along the lower ledges. Keese and more Green ChuChus appear.
Eventually, Link climbs up to the level of the Statue of the Goddess. In a scene, the being opens a door leading inside the statue. Link follows her in.
Inside the Statue of the Goddess (time 3:23):
As Link enters the chamber inside the Statue of the Goddess, a scene takes place. The being that he has been following identifies herself as Fi. She has much to say about herself and Zelda.
After the scene, Link approaches the Goddess Sword, pulls it from the pedestal, and holds it skyward. A scene with Fi and Headmaster Gaepora follows. Fi gives Link the Emerald Tablet.
Next, Link must strike the crest in the north of the room with a Skyward Strike. To charge a Skyward Strike, he must hold the Goddess Sword skyward. After he strikes the crest, he can set the Emerald Tablet in the recess that appears.
Another scene follows. Link now has a way to the fabled surface below. Fi will be Link's guide and occasional source of annoyance throughout the journey, much like Navi or Midna. Gaepora has prepared something for Link.
Knight Academy (time 16:00):
The scene continues in Link's room in the academy. He gains the classic green uniform.
Link regains control in his room. He can call for Fi's help by pressing down on the D-pad.
When Link exits to the hallway, there is a scene with Fledge. Fledge has prepared something else that Link will need: the Adventure Pouch. It can store up to four items, such as shields or potions. Link will be able to find additional pouch slots during his journey.
After checking in with his fellow academy residents, Link heads out the front door on 1F.
Skyloft (time 24:55):
Just outside, Link talks to Instructor Owlan. Owlan gives Link a Wooden Shield. It is a useful starter shield, but it will burn if it is exposed to fire. Owlan also recommends Link visit Eagus to learn about defense.
Link equips the Wooden Shield. Then, he heads to the Sparring Hall.
Sparring Hall (time 26:50):
Link talks to Eagus. The Knight Commander instructs him in defense with the Wooden Shield. The log that is hanging from the rope can be used to practice the shield bash technique.
When he is done practicing, Link heads back outside.
Skyloft (time 30:02):
As Link begins heading south from the academy, Fi pops out for a scene. She warns him to provision himself before descending to the surface.
At the Plaza, Link can call on Fi for another scene about the column of light.
Link now explores the majority of Skyloft. He can now enter the Bazaar south of the academy.
Bazaar (time 37:02):
The Bazaar has a few essential services for Link throughout his journey. Sparrot runs a fortune-telling service. Gondo runs the Scrap Shop. He can repair Link's shield or upgrade his gear. Upgrades require monster parts. Link can upgrade a Wooden Shield with 2 Amber Relics, a Monster Claw, and a Jelly Blob.
As Link approaches the Scrap Shop's back room, Fi calls Link's attention to the locked chest. Link will eventually find the means to unlock chests such as this.
Peatrice runs the Item Check. She can store the items in Link's Adventure Pouch. Useful, since his storage space is limited.
Rupin runs an item shop. He sells shields and projectile refills. For now, all Link can buy is an extra Wooden Shield. Helpful, since shields can break.
Luv runs the Potion Shop. The first time Link talks to her, she gives him Empty Bottle #1! Now, he has a bottle to store one of her potions in. For now, Link can purchase the red Heart Potion for 20 Rupees, the purple Revitalizing Potion for 30 Rupees, or the rainbow-colored Guardian Potion for 200 Rupees. Link does not buy any potions yet.
