Previously, just before Link could leave for Hyrule, monsters attacked the spring in Ordona Province and abducted Ilia and Colin. Worse, when Link pursued them, he was pulled through a dark barrier and became a wolf. Where has he been taken?

As we resume the game, Link the wolf awakens fettered in a prison. How will he get out of this mess?

As Link struggles against his bond, a scene will take place (time 0:56). A strange imp appears outside his cell. Her theme is pretty cool. She breaks his fetter and then tells him to find a way out of the cell.

In the southwest corner of his cell, Link can attack with B to bust up some crates by the bars (time 3:16). This reveals a hole where he can dig out with Y. Now, the imp will begin to ride him. She offers to help Link escape, provided he does as she says. We can use the Z button to talk to her for a hint.

After the scene, Link regains control outside of the cell (time 4:16). To get out of this cell block, he will have to push through the door into the southern cell. There, he will have to pull on the hanging chain switch to open the gate in the wall (time 4:53).

Link follows the corridor south into a set of nasty sewers (time 5:15). He runs across a floating will-o'-the-wisp. The imp suggests that he hone his senses with the X button. When he does so, he sees that the will-o'-the-wisp is the spirit of a soldier!

As Link progresses north, he will come across dark enemies, Shadows. Turning west at the first intersection, he can open a gate to reach a crate containing a Blue Rupee (time 6:39).

As they pass east through a large gate that some careless fool left open, the imp will speak to Link again (time 7:09). She essentially means that Link can still attack enemies with similar controls as a wolf. He can even charge a spin attack by holding B. From here on, be wary when opening gates, as they might hold Shadows.

Link will pass a set of spikes, but he cannot get over them yet. However, south of the gate, he can pull a chain switch to open a sluice gate (time 8:54). This will flood the waterway so that Link can swim over the spikes. More ghostly soldiers will be at the northern crossroads and the western end of the northern corridor.

At the western end of the northern corridor, Link can pull a chain switch to open another sluice gate (time 10:41). This one will drain the waterway.

As Link goes east, the imp will leave him and pass through a set of bars (time 11:39). She wants to see if he can figure out what to do now on his own.

Just below the set of bars, Link must crawl through a hole in the southern wall (time 12:03). This will take him through a tunnel where he can find another soldier's spirit.

As he leaves the tunnel, the imp rejoins him (time 12:46). She taunts him into guessing where they are, considering that the spirits here are all of soldiers.

To the east, Link will find a spiraling staircase leading up (time 13:18). As he begins climbing, though, part of the crumbling stairway will fall away (time 13:44). Afterwards, the imp will introduce Link to an interesting companion jump mechanic. She will point out the ledges, and Link can jump to her position by L-targeting her and pressing A. A few companion jumps and some tightrope walking will lead him to the top level.

When they reach the top, the camera will pan to a higher open doorway (time 15:15). Before figuring this out, though, Link has some Keese to defeat. Then, from the northwestern debris, Link can companion jump to the upper door after a little dialogue with the imp (time 15:42).

Outside the door, Link will find himself in the rooftop area of a castle (time 16:00). The imp seems to favor the black cloud of twilight. I can't say I do. Anyway, she wants Link to go to the tower to the north so she can introduce him to someone. Interesting.

Directly to the north, Link comes across another spirit (time 17:02). If Link talks to the soldier's spirit as recommended, he will learn just where he is.

Along the way to the tower, look out for the monstrous birds. A couple of attacks with A will dispatch them, but be sure to reestablish the target lock after the first strike.

Near the end, Link will have to call on the imp's help for a companion jump sequence (time 18:53). He may be able to just run past the last couple of birds; fighting on the rooftop is tricky.

Description continued in the comments.
