1,500Playing around with Soul Launcher EX Skill in Mega Man Zero 3. It's often overshadowed by its partner Recoil Rod skill, 1000 Slash because it's not that good for practical use... without the fire chip equipped, that is. It's still a meh EX Skill at the end of the day, but Childre here is the perfect example of how this thing with the fire chip was made for setups, traps, and combo resets if you know how to manipulate the flame's landing.
Of course, scene skip makes Zero 3 Bosses 100% scripted (unlike Z4 where scene skip doesn't reset the RNG to 0 anymore), so that's why Childre is always conveniently in the right places that I want him to be in. Going off that same principle, this can be utilized outside his battle just for flashiness's sake. He stuns easily from his weakness, which is why Soul Launcher is super effective in disabling him.
The general combo is the same in each of these clips until it's time to follow up after the first Soul Launcher trap. Depending on how fast you drain his HP, the slightest delay in your execution can cause him to go off-script and do something you don't want him to. Thus, these are different takes on what his AI will decide to do after your slight fumbles, and I have a counter for each one. These are by no means the only actions he can do after going off script, but these are just the typical ones to expect.
