Zero Wing - Boss Run - Part 1
36Did you know there was a game behind that infamous intro? Me neither.*
Turns out it's a rather average shoot em up, and not as the intro would have us believe, a simulation about bases and their belonging to various parties named after animals. Pity.
The bosses range anywhere from "what the f*ck is that meant to be" to "it's.. different.. I guess..."
Also, some of the bosses seem like they were taken from leftover clippings of the Gradius design team's waste bin.
They forgot the rule "shoot the core", and pretty much every boss can be shot anywhere.
Engrish aside, the intro's pretty cool for a Megadrive game, and I've left it in, in it's entirety. The non-mangled text "in game" intro will be placed in Part 2, it was simply a wee bit too long to include in part 1.
Despite the apparent "popularity" of Zero Wing, there is zero (no pun intended) references for the damn game. So I've decided not to name the bosses this time round.
