You can't get much more retro than the old Spectrum. I bet even mentioning that word will bring a smile to someone's face.
Spectrum games were the first games I played as a child, and they'll always stick with me.
I had a hunt for this game (took a while to find too, because I couldn't for the life of me remember it's name.), and while I suppose I could've done the arcade version, this is the version I remember, so this is the version i'll be playing.

Pretty cool, if bloody hard shooter, especially for the old speccy.

The bosses repeat themselves, and the final boss is a repeat of boss 4, altough given the age, and system this game is on, that's pretty forgivable, as they were storing this game on a cassete tape after all.
There's also no in-game music, thanks to the Spectrum having only the one sound channel... they either have a choice of sound effects or music... and in this case they chose sound effects. A shame, because the title screen music rocks.

You guys think load times are bad now, it has nothing on games back then :P
