My third clear and first upload of the Low% 1CC route for Type B. This has been a route I've been working on and off on for about 3 years. The idea of Low% is that you play through the game without collecting or using upgrades, with the only exception being collecting the sword or drill in 1-3 in order to later progress the game in 2-3. The run prohibits the use of the sword or drill except to trigger Grapefruit ZeroRanger's boss fight.

I started the endeavor as a pretty mediocre player, hoping good strategies and persistence would pull through as opposed to just raw skill, however, in the learning and refining process I gained a lot of skill at the game, and finally feel this run is clean enough to show off. I finished my first run on January 7th 2023. I had completed a second run on January 13 2023, but my encoding tanked midrun, ruining both recorded and stream footage. This third clear was born in the hunt to surpass the second run and try to get a run I wouldn't mind showing off, with few major mistakes.

Summary: 17 hits total. 3 in Loop 1. 1 being on Train screen 2 in 1-3, the other two being in 1-4, on First Screen and Orbs. (Pretty bummed about missing both of these no hits in my upload, as they look clean when done right.) 2 hits in Loop 2 to Grapefruit. Very clean. 2-2 Boss takes one because I failed to execute my guaranteed strat, and I lost focus on Train Screen 2 in 2-3. (I did save myself with a great recovery there after being put off tempo!) Grapefruit herself played great today, giving me a few weird patterns and checkmating me once. The other two hits were error, both silly in hindsight but that fight is always under heavy pressure in good runs. 3 hits total. Descent and Orbs were spotless. Great Oppressor/Despair got me 4 times, not bad at all for Low% standards, it's a very cruel fight without backshot and sword to mitigate risk. I took a silly hit to Pinch Great Oppressor/Despair trying to rack up score. I missed non-critical escape, taking 4 hits. I don't have enough exp there yet, and I made a wrong call that could've, between my pinch hit and said bad call, could've led to a non-critical. I'm fine with 17 hits total. That's very good for my skill level, and especially considering the circumstances of the run.
