Zilog and Moto - Episode 142: Gauntlet 4 - Genesis
24About two years ago, I reviewed Gauntlet for the Master System, and it was a pretty solid port, certainly the best 8 bit version of the game available, and far, far better than the somewhat horrific NES version. Well, now it's time to take a look at the Genesis version, which has been retitled Gauntlet 4, to separate itself a bit from other releases of Gauntlet, as not only is it a near perfect, or potentially better than perfect version of the 1985 classic, it also contains a Quest mode that turns Gauntlet into an addicting action RPG.
However, the best part of Gauntlet 4 is something you may not be expecting, especially if you're familiar with the original arcade release. Take a look!
