The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Randomizer
Randomizers are awesome! Shoutouts to ProJared and SimpleFlips for turning me on to the concept. For those not familiar, a randomizer takes a game (in this case LoZ: Ocarina of Time) and semi-randomly swaps around all of the items in the world. That means regular treasure chests can contain special dungeon items and hard-to-reach locations may only offer me a small amount of money for my troubles. You never know what you're gonna get until you "check" the item location. It sounds crazy (and it is), but it's actually not that bad if you're already familiar with the base game. And practice makes perfect! These randomizers get quicker and easier over time as your skill improves, so there's plenty of reasons to keep coming back.

If you've been following me a while, you probably already know that I'm a huge fan of Edmund McMillen's work. I grew up on Newgrounds.com (yes, it's still alive and well; and yes, it's still better than YouTube). It was there all those years ago that I first encountered Edmund's games and fell in love with his style. I remember when he released "The Binding of Isaac" on NG, but admittedly, only played it very briefly. Well, it's time I fixed that. Following up on month of spooky games, I finally decided to crack into "The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth," the same game rebuilt from the ground up and made available on Steam. The episodes on this channel are only but a small portion of my gameplay experiences. I went on to clock in over 150 hours in this game in the months that followed. Consider me hooked!
