My journey into the world of FPGA has culminated in me building a ZX Spectrum 48K on my Papilio Pro which is a FPGA development board by GadgetFactory for the Xilinx Spartan 6 FPGA.

Here is a quick video of my progress so far. In the background you see a breadboard with 16 LEDs, that was my make-shift hardware debugger that I used during development to see what was on address lines, data lines and the various control lines. It is tough not having a logic analyzer :)
