AMARINO, known as ・M・ too, is one of my favorite Mario Maker players of all time... Or well... It was... He's probably one of the most mysterious players. Only social media he had used to be his YouTube channel @AMARINOtas, but it's no longer active.

His channel description says this:
"It was a Super Mario Maker 2 player/maker.
Wherever he is, he thanks all of you for the support you have shown him. Please enjoy the levels he built if you can. 02/27/2023"

So it's almost one year since he disappeared completely. What happened to him? I don't know, but I hope didn't happened anything bad to him. His channel description and that date makes it sounds like he's not with us anymore...

I decided to make this little compilation because his levels are too short, but at the same time have extremely low clear rate. That's the reason I couldn't add more levels.

I used to think this level is impossible for me, specially some years ago, in wich this wall clip tech blows my mind. Wall clip is usually in some levels to perform vertical wall jumps. Is really hard because to clip a wall you need an specific speed and jump in the correct position to clip exactly in the position between 2 blocks and for a wall jump you have basically just 2 frames to perform it after wall clip.

Hopefully in this level you don't have to wall jump, just some wall clips to get into the doors. First jump is at maximum height, but other 3 ones are controlled jumps. So first one is significantly easier (without mention that you need to jump in the right position of the conveyor), but the other ones are really hard.

I played this in some sessions before, probably months and years ago, so I'm not going to count that time for the clear time, but I'm feeling really lucky for the random session of the other day in wich I was really consistent in these jumps and then I cleared.

Looks like he planned a hard version for this level, but it was never uploaded. And for me this is still being hard.

Total time: 21 minutes

This level is harder than it looks, not actually too hard, but it's still really hard. For this level I played with the controller in claw, using my index finger to run with X button and pressing B with my thumb. With this tech the first jumps of the level were easier for me than playing normally.

I tried to play fast just to see if I would get the WR, but the only reason is hard to clear this fast is because of the part of the hidden blocks and springs at half. There are also 2 jumps that are so much precise than it looks, first one being the 0:47 one and the other one being the 0:49. Both jumps are using float tech and after second one you have to still holding B to not jump on the springs before the axe and fast reaction because if you are not going at a high speed using the horizontal spring, you are going to jump on one of those springs before the axe.

Really sad that there were just a couple of seconds, but while I was playing felt like more time, specially the last jump.

50 minutes

1:06 V for Vendetta [0.06%]

Vendetta is an italian word that I've heard sometimes before and doing research it apparently means "revenge".

In the first minutes I did the first 2 jumps, so it's just a matter of time until I perform the 3rd one, right? Well, I performed a lot of times the first 2 jumps, but for some reason I could never be able to pull off the third one in a real attempt, and yeah, I downloaded the level because of that. Playing on editor mode, I was able to perform that jump so I thought I was having a lot of bad luck.

But playing the level almost 3 hours I thought that by statistics the 3rd jump should be perfmormed at least one time! Everytime hitting the spikes doing the jump 1 frame earlier or 1 frame later. So this wouldn't be just bad luck... Then I remembered in Mario Maker the start position affects your jumps, and yeah, starting the level in a different pixel position, Mario was able to get further jumps, getting deaths in some weird positions in wich there's no death mark.

Knowing this helps for something? Absolutely, yes! I performed normally first 2 jumps, but before 3rd jump I I stopped hold "right" button and repressed it fast, making the game able to generate a frame in the correct position to perform the jump. As I said, I usually did it 1 frame earlier or 1 frame later, but never in the middle, so basically I think the game didn't generate the frame I needed and that's why this 3 jumps level took hours.
