House Redoran prizes the virtues of duty, gravity, and piety. Duty is to one's own honor and to one's family and clan. Gravity is the essential seriousness of life. Life is hard, and events must be judged, endured, and reflected upon with due care and earnestness. Piety is respect for the gods and the virtues they represent. A light, careless life is not worth living.
The Great House Redoran is one of the five remaining Great Houses. Its council seat is in Ald'ruhn and all councilors live there in the hollowed shell of a colossal prehistoric Emperor Crab; the district is known as Under-Skar. Other Redoran-dominated towns include: Khuul, Maar Gan and Ald Velothi. Redoran settlements are designed in the Dunmer village style, built of local materials, with organic curves and undecorated exteriors inspired by the landscape and by the shells of giant native insects. Redoran villages are typically centered on Temple compounds and their courtyards, with huts and tradehouses gathered around a central plaza, as in the West Gash village of Gnisis, which is currently rented to the Imperial Legions. The only major Redoran city on the mainland is Blacklight, close to the border of Skyrim.

Joining House Redoran is relatively simple: you need to talk with Neminda, who is located on the main floor of the Redoran Council Manor in Ald'ruhn. The Redoran Council Manor is located in the Manor District Under-Skar on the north side of town. Under-Skar is the large Emperor Crab shell building in front of you when you climb the second set of stairs through the middle of town. Normally, you can only join one Great House in the game, but there is a way in which you can join both House Redoran and House Hlaalu.

Quick Walkthrough
1. Speak to Neminda in Ald'ruhn for duties.
2. Go west to Drulene Falen's Hut to deal with the mudcrab pests.
3. Speak to Drulene Falen to learn about the current situation.
4. Travel southwest to find and kill the mudcrabs.
5. Return to Drulene Falen for your reward.
6. Report back to Neminda to officially end the quest.

Detailed Walkthrough
Duties - Neminda's first duty for you is to take care of some nasty mudcrabs that have attacked Drulene Falen's guar herd.
Drulene Falen's Hut - Drulene Falen's Hut (-52700, 50500) and her herd is far to the west of Ald'ruhn, near the coast. It is quite a walk from Ald'ruhn, so don't be surprised if it takes a little bit of time. Talk with Falen, and she'll tell you that the mudcrabs dragged one of her guars off to the southwest.
Dealing with the Pests - Head off in the direction Falen just told you, and you should find a dead guar (-58700, 40000) along with two hyper-aggressive mudcrabs. Kill the crabs and return to Falen for a reward of some Hackle-Lo leaves.
Return to Neminda - Report back to Neminda in Ald'ruhn to complete the quest.
Notes: You don't have to be a member of House Redoran to complete this quest.
