In the year 2508, the planet cracker class starship, USG Ishimura, sent out a distress beacon to the Concordance Extraction Corporation (CEC). In response, CEC sends the maintenance ship, USG Kellion to investigate and resolve the situation. Upon arrival, the team discovers a horrific alien plague which had infected the Ishimura's crew and transformed them into nightmarish creatures. Now, with a lone engineer leading the way, the team must find an escape from the infected vessel before they succumb to a fate worse than death.
Armed with the RIG Codes, Isaac makes his way to the Engineering Deck; if he can't reignite the engines, then the USG Ishimura will be pulled into Aegis VII's orbit, which will results in the deaths of those still alive aboard the ship.
