Alice: Asylum Conceptual Music & Soundscape Experiments
04 • Save Yourself Alice (The Fire)
The fourth experiment. Meant to accompany the scene in which a young Alice experiences an inferno of incredible horror.
Fire and brimstone.
Blood and bone.
Sorry young Alice.
No one is home.
Note from Alex: I feel this is the most cinematic for each of the tracks created. In my head, it's set in time to Alice walking up in her room, at first finding smoke seeping in through the crack under the door, embers, then running through the house as everything burns around her.
Close your eyes. I wonder if you can see it too?

Using commercially available sound FX and music loop samples, Alex Crowley created the following audio experiments. Originally released exclusively for Patreon, they are now available for everyone.
The idea was to use sound to capture parts of the narrative, and also create immersive soundscapes for the supporters of Alice: Asylum to enjoy.
All tracks were inspired by the works of Chris Vrenna, Marshall Crutcher & Jason Tai, (the creators of the soundtracks for American McGee’s Alice, and Alice: Madness Returns). These experiments aimed to strike the right balance in feel, tone, hope and darkness.
We hope they sit alongside the original music of the Alice series comfortably.
