As I've promised, now that I think I have a handle on remote monitoring. After years of using ATCS accessing a server at hotspots, I always wanted a way to remotely monitor while I fan or travel. Last year I picked up an SDR Dongle, then a laptop used from a friend.
At first I tuned in and couldn't figure out why I only picked up certain MCP's. Then I discovered that the frequencies modulate just above or below the base depending on location. So with my new knowledge and trial and error, I wanted to share my findings. For the record there are few if any how to videos that I've found on YouTube for ATCS. Hopefully this helps for those that still have ATCS in their area and you want to monitor remotely.
