7/23/2019 - RTS - Preparing For Fall - So I'm Not In Shock
0I've wanted something I could call my own for a long time now. But if anything my son's injury and recover as taught me is that I don't miss Run8 enough, and RTS is not that important to me at this time. However, that being said I know times are changing. Next week I take our first and final vacation of the year for 1 week with Emmett. Normally we have some long weekends thrown in but I'm not sure we will even get Labour Day this year. Previous vacation time and long weekends were wasted at home as he recovered. He is walking for a good 30 minutes now outside, but needs to cut all the weight he gained when not mobile. But this vacation is finally one we can take because he is stable enough to do so.
But since January I've been there for him more than usual as he missed school. I'm expecting a shock to my system in September because Sunday's instead of 9pm going upstairs it will be back to 3pm. This is an annual situation for us except this one was much more extended while he recovered.
Since that time I stopped participating in a Run8 server (first due to internet, then due to interest). While Run8 continues to spin it's wheels in V2, suddenly TSW has a new version coming soon (doubt it will be any better but at least it's something).
Run8 needs those new regions, it needs to evolve as I find it's become very stale. I don't know what the issue is at this time. New year was I believe expected to have V3 and we are now half way through 2019. There are no hints, screenshots, just a few updates and more add on packs. But nothing for the core program to really evolve it.
As for the YouTube channel it's dead in the water as well. I want to get back into something that is for me, and not for my audience (if my audience isn't interested).
