1 SCOTS have handed over a crucial element of British operations in Afghanistan to 4 RIFLES.

The Transfer of Authority ceremony for the Brigade Advisory Group was held at Camp Tombstone, next to Camp Bastion, in Helmand.

With Afghan troops now taking the lead on operational activity, the new unit will be supporting the Afghan National Army as they take on their first summer fighting season in the lead.
