Whether or not we're alone on earth remains a long-standing debate that may never be settled. Findings from the outer solar system suggest that there could be other technological beings around us. The origin of some artifacts is unknown, and in connecting the faint dots, some scientists say aliens have a hand in them. Without further ado, let's look at ten artifacts that are believed to be alien.
10. Sacsayhuaman
Outside the Inca capital lies the Sacsayhuaman fortress in the Peruvian Andes. It was carved from massive stones that were chiseled and stacked together like a jigsaw puzzle. Some researchers say this mansion was possible through the efforts of laborers and assistance from their interstellar friends. The 1,000-year-old fortress is made of heavy rocks weighing up to 360 tons each. This massive stone was carried more than 20 miles before fitting them into place.
Since there were no modern machines at the time, how did the builders accomplish such an engineering feat? This is a question researchers are struggling to answer to date. It turns out that the Inca people loved building houses just as they love watching the sky and keeping calendars. There are similar walls like this one scattered around the Inca empire, so this one isn't a mere coincidence. Archaeologists have uncovered traces of rope-and-lever systems used to transport stones from the quarries to their cities. This process is energy-intensive and doesn't rely on extraterrestrial beings to execute.

9. Egyptian Pyramids
Egyptian pyramids are one of the most famous artifacts on the planet. Most of them are located outside Cairo. Built more than 4,500 years ago, the Giza pyramids were monumental tombs where pharaohs and queens were buried. But how did they finetune their architectural expertise thousands of years back? Egyptologists have no answer yet. The great pyramid is erected from millions of precisely hewn stones weighing at least two tons each. Even with the latest technologies today, erecting such a monument would time and a lot of resources.
There's also an astronomical side to these pyramids because they are aligned with the stars in Orion's belt. Alien theorists say that some pyramids were better shaped than others built some centuries later. This raises the question as to the identities of the builders. Scientists say that ancient Egyptians built the pyramids, but they're not sure how they did it so quickly. It turns out they used a ramp to haul the stones up, but it was uncertain how it was designed. Until there's concrete evidence showing that only earthly hands built this monument, we'll continue to assume.
8. Teotihuacan
Also called the City of the Gods, Teotihuacan is an ancient city in Mexico known for its astronomical alignments and pyramidal temples. The 2,000-year-old masterpiece's size, complexity, and age seem mystical, but scientists say humans built it. However, it is hard to believe, given its expertise and variety. Researchers say that the city was a mix of Zapotec, Maya, and Mixtec and was built by more than 100,000 people. The tools, murals, advanced agricultural practices, and transportation systems are considered unusually advanced than would have been possible in pre-Aztec Mexico.
Historians theorized that their ancestors were refugees driven to the north by a volcano eruption. Whatever is the case, modern Teotihuacáns are known as skilled urban planners, but around 600 A.D, most buildings were burned and religious sculptures and artworks destroyed. This suggests a revolt from the poor against the ruling class. Another theory said the town was invaded and burned because they lacked military protection. By 750 A.D., the remaining survivors abandoned their homes and merged into neighboring cultures.
7. Nazca Lines
About 200 miles southeast of Lima, a high plateau is an 800 long straight white line engraved in the Peruvian desert. They are joined by 300 geometric shapes and 70 figures of animals like hummingbird, monkey, and spider. The longest line runs for several miles, while the most significant shape stretches almost 1,200 feet and is best viewed from the air. Analysts say these drawings have existed for more than two millenniums because their features fit into alien handwork. Their size, visibility, age, and mysterious nature defies human understanding.
