870Released in 2004, the flippy DS handheld featured stylus-based touch-screen controls, a built-in microphone, wireless connectivity, and two screens working in tandem. It was yet another roaring success for the legendary company, and has a huge and varied back catalogue to match. The top of the DS sales chart was filled with high-quality titles whose names have lived on in gaming legend, and a whole host of cult hits exist just below that surface layer, their virtues extolled by a legion of hardcore fans. We're digging even further though, and looking for sparkly bits in the deepest layers of rock and sediment.
