10 hours of black screen, no audio! - Useful for dead pixel test, backlight bleed check, and more.
10 hours of glorious nothingness!
Why?
Well, to be honest, I just wanted to see how long my 16 core CPU takes to encode a 10h video :D
But there are some use cases where this actually makes sense :)
Do you want to keep a video running in the background so your work PC at home doesn't go to sleep and puts you on "Away" in your work apps? Use this!
Want to check your screen for dead pixels? Play this video in fullscreen!
Or maybe you want to check your screen for backlight bleeding? It can be used for that as well.
Maybe you simply want to trick someone into thinking your PC is off? Put this in Fullscreen, Alt-Tab to whatever you are doing, and when someone enters the room, Alt-Tab back to the video, black screen! Woohoo! (I actually used this method once to cheat in class .... psst...)
Maybe for some reason, you need a black screen on your smartphone?
You could also use this as a timer or whatever else you think might make sense.
A lot of these things can be done by other means but black videos get used all the time. It's convenient to many.
If you use this video for a different reason, be sure to let me know in the comments :)
So go on and enjoy this beautiful black screen for 10 hours :)
