10 Second Ninja X Gameplay

10 Second Ninja X is a high speed platformer by Four Circle Interactive. It's actually a sequel to an earlier game called 10 Second Ninja. The gameplay is about destroying all robots on the level within 10 seconds, and the developers were going for a Super MEat Boy vibe.

I got a key for it, and honestly, I'm a sucker for ninjas and 2D platformers (Ninja Gaiden anyone?) so, I decided to do some gameplay commentary. It has been a while since we've had this kind of freeform LP style content, but hopefully this first look at 10 Second Ninja X is fun for y'all. #10snx

10 Second Ninja X summary:

The basic gameplay of 10 Second Ninja X is about destroying all robots on the level in under 10 seconds. There are 10 levels in each level set, and you need to get 20 stars to unlock each subsequent level set. Each level can grant up to 3 stars based on your performance. This means you need to get on average 2 stars per level in order to unlock the next set of levels. 10 Second Ninja X, unlike Super Meat Boy, requires you do demonstrate further mastery beyond even beating the level within 10 seconds.

There is also a story to 10 Second Ninja X involving some king of pirate and a flying ship or something. Look. I don't care about the plot of this game. It has tight, responsive controls, and a high degree of precision required from the player. It's a hard game and the focus for most people will probably be on the gameplay. I will say that there is a surprising amount of strategic problem solving involved, as you try and plan out the best approach to each level.
