660There are few things in life more satisfying than finally offing a baddie that’s been tormenting you for several hours throughout whatever title you’re playing. It’s even more satisfying when that baddie is an utter piece of plops that completely deserves whatever fate you’ve kindly bestowed upon them. Some games, however, think they’re really big and clever by giving their antagonists rather upsetting beginnings, so rather than a villain that’s just bonkers or power hungry, we end up with those who we start to feel a bit sorry for. Whether it’s tragic loss, horrific torture, or other circumstances beyond their control that have put them on a dark path, we can’t help but have a little bit of pity, even if their actions are beyond forgiveness.
